From August 22 to 24, Sol-Iletsk will host a spectacular event — the first “Salty Wind of Orenburg” Hot-Air Balloon Festival. AZIMUT Park Hotel Sol-Iletsk will partner with the event as part of its support for tourism development in the region.
During the “Salty Wind of Orenburg” festival, around ten hot-air balloons will take to the skies over the resort town of Sol-Iletsk. One of the festival’s symbols will be the AZIMUT Hotels hot-air balloon, which will soar over the Orenburg Region as a symbol of the limitless possibilities open to travelers.
The festival promises to become one of the most memorable events of the summer in Sol-Iletsk, bringing together lovers of sky-high adventures and active leisure. Guests will be able not only to enjoy spectacular hot-air balloon flights but also to take to the skies with a team of experienced pilots and admire the Orenburg steppes and sand dunes from above. Every traveler who takes part in a flight will undergo the traditional initiation ceremony for balloonists and receive a count’s title over the lands they have flown across.
During the festival, guests will also be able to enjoy an entertainment program in the resort’s central square. On August 23 and 24, the city will host the 18th annual “Sol-Iletsk Watermelon Festival,” celebrating the region’s melon-growing traditions. The festival will feature exhibitions, workshops and a gastronomic program, where visitors can sample dishes made with watermelons and melons.
