The Oncologika and More Than You Can foundations and the LizaAlert search-and-rescue organization will be able to use the points to accommodate their beneficiaries at AZIMUT Hotels properties across Russia. This year, AZIMUT Bonus loyalty program members donated three times more points to charity than last year, setting a new record in the history of the campaign.

From February 1 to 15, AZIMUT Hotels’ hotels and sanatoriums hosted the 11th annual AZIMUT Lights Hearts charity campaign in support of Oncologika, which helps cancer patients, More Than You Can, which promotes inclusion in sports, and LizaAlert, a search-and-rescue organization. Over the two-week campaign, participants donated 21.3 million AZIMUT Bonus points to support the organizations.

This year, the average donation increased by 54%. All the bonus points collected will be distributed among the participating charitable organizations, which will be able to use them to accommodate their beneficiaries across Russia and provide support to people facing difficult circumstances.

AZIMUT Bonus loyalty program members earn points for stays at the hotel chain’s properties and sanatoriums. During the AZIMUT Lights Hearts campaign, participants could earn additional points by playing “Finding Important Words,” an online game on the chain’s website. In total, players earned around 3.5 million additional points, which they could also donate to support the participating charities.

On the evening of February 14, large hearts made up of illuminated windows lit up the facades of AZIMUT Hotels properties and sanatoriums across Russia, serving as a striking symbol of care and support. Continuing a long-standing tradition, the More Than You Can Foundation held a charity running tour in Moscow that day, with the event starting when the heart on the facade of AZIMUT City Hotel Smolenskaya Moscow was illuminated.

AZIMUT Hotels to donate 21 million bonus points to charities

Maxim Brodovsky, CEO of AZIMUT Hotels:

“We are sincerely grateful to everyone who shares our important and responsible mission of supporting people of extraordinary strength and resilience. Every year, awareness of charitable organizations continues to grow, along with both the number of campaign participants and the amount of donations. Over the years, the AZIMUT Lights Hearts campaign has truly grown into a large-scale initiative, bringing together thousands of people across 50 cities in Russia and the CIS countries. We are especially proud that each year, alongside the growing number of properties in our network, the number of caring people who use their accumulated AZIMUT points to make a difference also continues to increase.”

During the campaign, AZIMUT Hotels properties and sanatoriums also offered special experiences, including romantic dinners, desserts created in support of the charities, and vibrant photo zones where guests could capture warm memories of the celebration dedicated to doing good. Every guest could share the festive spirit with loved ones by sending a greeting card with their congratulations and best wishes directly from a hotel or sanatorium.
