Russian hotel chain AZIMUT Hotels is expanding its international presence and entering the tourism market of the Gulf countries. Two resort hotels operated by the Russian chain are set to open in southeastern Arabia in October.
AZIMUT Hotels has signed an agreement to manage two hotels on the scenic Musandam Peninsula in the Sultanate of Oman. The properties are located 5 km from each other and just 5–10 km from Musandam Airport. The peninsula and its surrounding waters offer a wide range of activities for outdoor enthusiasts, including fishing, diving and snorkeling.
The four-star AZIMUT Hotel Musandam Oman, with 105 rooms, will offer guests a high level of service in line with AZIMUT Hotels’ international standards. Accommodation options will include spacious family rooms ranging from 47 to 83 sq. m., as well as 87 sq. m. duplex apartments with private terraces. The hotel’s interiors feature an oriental-inspired design, while rooms offer panoramic views of the bay, swimming pool or landscaped garden. Facilities will include a restaurant, three swimming pools, children’s play areas, a fitness room and conference spaces for business events.
The three-star AZIMUT Hotel Khasab will feature 60 rooms, including 12 chalets. The property will also offer a swimming pool, conference rooms, a restaurant and a bar.
The opening of the two properties managed by a Russian hotel operator in the Sultanate of Oman reflects the strong level of partnership between the two countries. AZIMUT Hotels is currently focused on expanding its international portfolio: in 2025, the company opened its second major hotel in Tashkent, while new properties are being prepared for opening in Israel and Kyrgyzstan.
